Hope Camps Pt 5: The Serpent In The Wilderness

There are portion of the Bible that are hard to be understood, one of the most challenging is Jesus own portrayal of himself in the gospel of John 3:14-15, a representation of the serpent in the wilderness by which the people of Israel, in the Old Testament, beholding with their eyes, could be healed of the deadly bites they received as punishment for their sin. The brazen serpent hanging on that pole in the wilderness of Numbers 21 was a…

Pt 14 LABOURERS TOGETHER

Pt 14 Labourers Together Pt 14: Labourers Together WITH God. 1 Corinthians 3:5–10 5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.  8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his…

Hope Camps Pt 2: ETERNITY

Emilio does a great job deliberating on the Biblical presentations of heaven and hell. Both are eternal in scope. While “the wages of sin is death”, we also learn that “the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23)

When are we to “Be Still”? Many think that the term refers to ‘do nothing’, but is this true? Are there times we need to act and then “Be Still”? Are there time God simply wants us to show up and then “Be Still”? This sermon goes into detail giving examples of how and when we are to “Be Still”.

The Pursuit of God

The content of some sermons can be truly life changing if we would take the words seriously, such is the case of The Pursuit of God by Phillip McKenzie. Each point elaborating on what it is to pursue after the Lord, each point life changing if taken seriously. David pursued after the Lord when he was being pursued, seeking after life in The Lord while men sought his own life. Sadly, too often we will not pursue after God until we have times of trouble, but this ought not so to be. Yet David became a man after God’s own heart and perhaps this experience was a catalyst.

Pt 13: The CARNAL Christian

It is the carnal Christian whose life fills the legacy of known hypocrisy in the faith of Christianity. He it is that is never pleased, always disgruntled, thinks evil of all but highly of himself. He it is whose envy causes strife and division in the Church and he it is that shall give account before the one whom he blasphemes.
