Abide In Me

If there was but one message, one summary point of all sermons, an idea, a concept that can be ingrained in the mind of those who belong to Christ, it is the knowledge to Abide In Him. With all the confusion of the world, all the noise, all the clamour and conflicts of life, all the troubles and tribulations in our own personal lives, our abiding in Jesus Christ steadies the sea tossed ship. Why? Because he commands the seas…

Con-Fidence

Confidence Matthew 11:28–30 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. The alarm went off on Wednesday morning, Maria got up first to get herself ready for her train ride in to the city. I filled the coffee…

Pt 22: Faulty Witness

A faulty witness misrepresents the person to whom they are aligned when their representation does not align. Christians seeking justice from the unjust fail to understand the witness in which they witness.

Pt 21: Shun False Brethren

“…not to company…”, today few can identify what sin is let alone be willing to shun the man who claims to be a brother doing evil. The Church is charged to “put away from among yourselves that wicked person”. Paul here testifying that the individual who ‘calls himself a brother’ (1 Cor 5:11), is false, indeed a “wicked person” (v13). Our Church has seen much of this in the last two years, the Pastor has witnessed much more. Most tragic of all is that which comes from what was believed to be a faithful man, a man who betrays the Character of Christ, not in open sin, but in judgement, hypocrisy and wilful ignorance. The Laodicean Church will continue to develop until the return of the Lord, for it will not call sin and sin, and it will not deal with sinners nor have any respect for those who do. Those who justify evil condemn that which is good. Shun false brethren, be not caught up in their sin (see Numbers 16)
