Prayer Meeting and Bible Study
A wonderfully intimate time where members and guests of the Church come together to both pray and study.
Seeing the burden of everyday life and the many needs not only of members within the Church but the community and the nation in general. The Bible gives us clear instruction to pray for our Nation and particularly our leaders saying;
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
In this we see and understand a principal that when we set ourselves to pray for others, there are benefits that are retained also by ourselves. Our family, our friends, our city and our nation needs our prayers, who is it that will stand in the gap for them but those who are called by his name?
We are commanded to intercede for those around us, not only for the temporal benefits, but most importantly for the eternal. It is not believed that any people have come to the knowledge of Christ without someone praying for them; some generally and some particularly.
In this we set ourselves to begin our evening in prayer.
VBV Bible Study
In this portion it is well explained elsewhere but suffice to say we come to a wonderful time in the evening where we work through a given chapter verse by verse. Through Pastor is often the one who brings out that which is found in the text (Exegesis), all participants are encouraged to speak about how the given passage is encourages them or how it explains other segments of the Bible itself.
Generally it is a wonderful time of fellowship and has itself been running for over 10 years now, well before we began the Church in 2016.
