Hope Camps Pt 5: The Serpent In The Wilderness

Hope Camps Pt 5: The Serpent In The Wilderness

There are portion of the Bible that are hard to be understood, one of the most challenging is Jesus own portrayal of himself in the gospel of John 3:14-15, a representation of the serpent in the wilderness by which the people of Israel, in the Old Testament, beholding with their eyes, could be healed of the deadly bites they received as punishment for their sin.

The brazen serpent hanging on that pole in the wilderness of Numbers 21 was a picture of sin judged, Jesus told Nicodemus that he himself would be that very representation of sin for all the world, that all the world may be saved from the deadly judgement that will come upon them, if, and only if, they would behold him.

A powerful and challenging message by Pr Sandro.
