Sermons on Sin

Pt 21: Shun False Brethren

“…not to company…”, today few can identify what sin is let alone be willing to shun the man who claims to be a brother doing evil. The Church is charged to “put away from among yourselves that wicked person”. Paul here testifying that the individual who ‘calls himself a brother’ (1 Cor 5:11), is false, indeed a “wicked person” (v13). Our Church has seen much of this in the last two years, the Pastor has witnessed much more. Most tragic of all is that which comes from what was believed to be a faithful man, a man who betrays the Character of Christ, not in open sin, but in judgement, hypocrisy and wilful ignorance. The Laodicean Church will continue to develop until the return of the Lord, for it will not call sin and sin, and it will not deal with sinners nor have any respect for those who do. Those who justify evil condemn that which is good. Shun false brethren, be not caught up in their sin (see Numbers 16)

A Choice Presents Moment By Moment Who Shall Deliver Me Pt 5 05-07-2020 Pr Edi Giudetti  O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. (Rom 7:24-25) When we began to go through this series in the beginning, an impression seems to be given in the passage that…

Body Of This Death

Scripture Always Brings An Understanding   24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 7:24-25a). There is a passage in the bible to which our Church is founded. Yes, no doubt our foundation is in the Lord Jesus Christ, but more specifically, it is founded upon the word of God as the very foundation of our faith. Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime…

Faith Commenth By Hearing

Inexcusable

According to our passage in Romans 2 man is inexcusable respecting his knowledge of God. Not only does he know creation itself declares the glory of God, but when it comes to morality, his judgement of the sin he sees in others condemns himself, because he does the same things. Our awareness of the sin we see in others is a self declaration that we see sin in ourselves, we have no excuse to ever think there is no right or wrong when we see wrong in others.
