Sermons on Faith
Hope Camps Pt 6: The Just Shall Live By Faith
Something has changed in the heart of all who have come to believe the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, a very different and distinct constitutional change has happened in their hearts. They believed by Faith that Jesus Christ is Lord, that he bore their sin on that cross, that he himself was THEIR REPRESENTATIVE, when he was placed upon the tree, and they are forgiven, saved eternally from the punishment of their sin. But how shall they now live?…
The Pursuit of God
The content of some sermons can be truly life changing if we would take the words seriously, such is the case of The Pursuit of God by Phillip McKenzie. Each point elaborating on what it is to pursue after the Lord, each point life changing if taken seriously. David pursued after the Lord when he was being pursued, seeking after life in The Lord while men sought his own life. Sadly, too often we will not pursue after God until we have times of trouble, but this ought not so to be. Yet David became a man after God’s own heart and perhaps this experience was a catalyst.
Perilous Times Pt 4: Be Careful For Nothing
“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
(Php 4:4–6)
Faithfulness Pt 6 The Cheerful Giver
The first century church was identified with a people who understood the infinite value of the Gospel and became ‘Cheerful Givers”, what characteristic shall identify the last century church respecting their money?
It truly breaks my heart to see what little value most Christians place on the Gospel. It seems that if there is not a personal benefit that comes from giving to support this work, the majority of Christians will get offended when dealing with this topic biblically.
It seems that unless the doctrine is preached as a purely “Give so you can get” message, few will support the gospel. Little wonder why the last days are known as days of apostasy.
But when we do give for the work of the Lord, then are we taking a share in the work of Christ. Suddenly, those who are not preachers BECOME preachers as they support the work; they who are not evangelists BECOME evangelists as they support the work; they become WRITERS, TEACHERS, NURSES etc, as they support the work through the blessings in which they have been blessed.
How sad it is for those who cannot see it, whose hearts are hardened against the simplicity of the doctrine. The Prosperity Gospel is popular, but many hearts are revealed when this topic is dealt with biblically.

A Bag With Holes
Introduction Luke 17:11–19 11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: 13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. 14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were…
Looking Unto Jesus
Looking Unto Jesus Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 Introduction: “The key to joy”, we’re looking at today’s text which I believe is another key to our endeavours to live a life of faith…JOYFULLY Today’s text not only encapsulates crucial elements of our faith but also so much…
Faith, The Key TO Joy Pt3: Thinking Differently
We need to think differently. “But be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind”. What is it that would drive a group of 25 men in Syria, during the time of the Isis occupations that were sweeping the land, to purchase for themselves a graveyard to bury one another in for the almost certain death that would come for the preaching of the gospel of Christ? What would drive a young father, recently turned to Christ from Islam, to hand…
Faith; The Key To Joy pt2. Where It Began
The Key To Joy: Where It Began Luke 2:8–11 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in…
Faith, The Key To Joy Pt 1: Them That Honour Me…
The consideration for this series is one where I fear many of our brethren seem to be struggling so greatly in these days. The struggle is with faith and with the KNOWLEDGE of how valuable each of them are to the kingdom of God and that, abiding in the kingdom, we are to live in a constitution that is diametrically opposed to that manner of living evident in the world. Those who honour me I will honour. (1 Sam 2:30) There…
