The Devil Pt 4: His NATURE
Murderer, Liar, Slanderer and Adversary….aspects of the devil that is the very part of his nature, one that so perfectly follows on from both the state of his fall and the will of his being.
The fallen nature of mankind resembles the fallen nature of the Devil far too closely. it helps us to understand both the world and relationships in the world.
The Devil Pt 3: His Will
The Devil Pt 3: His Will Isaiah 14:12–14 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, The ultimate desire of the Devil is to be like God to the world. This is the great and original “Replacement Theology”. We have heard of the heretical and godless ideas of men who vainly think the Church has replaced Israel. Well,…
The Devil Pt 2: His Fall
The Devil was not always who he is now, there was a time he was “perfect in beauty” and whom the Lord had created above that of his angels, “till iniquity was found” in him (Ezek 28). Now, #satan is the principal prince of darkness, the deceiver who now deceives the entire world. Who once worked in deep darkness, but today is manifesting himself more and more in the light. Many of his followers revealing themselves for who they truly…
The Devil Pt 1: His Beginning
The Devil His Beginning Reading: Ezekiel 28:11–15 Introduction As we move on through the wonderful doctrines of the word of God, having established now the base and foundation of all Scripture through first our acknowledgment of the Bible and its own nature (while not ignoring the efforts of corruption now current in all English versions but one), then moving toward the author himself, God the father, Jesus Christ (The Word Incarnate) and God the Holy Spirit. Nine sermons given on the foundation of our faith, The…
Pt 7 Power Love and A Sound Mind
Power, Love and a Sound Mind 2 Timothy 1:6–14 6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according…
The Unity Of The Spirit
The Unity of the Holy Spirit Ephesians 4:1–6 1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, 2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is…
The Holy Spirit Pt 5: The Comforter
The Comforter: “He shall teach you all things” John 14:25–27 25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let…
The Holy Spirit Pt 4: The Person
Introduction 1 John 5:7 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. This morning we are going to focus give consideration to the doctrine of the Trinity, that God is triune in his Godhead. That both God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit is ONE LORD, AS IT TELLS US IN THE SCRIPTURE; 4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one…
Holy Spirit Pt 3: The Manifestation
The Manifestation of the Spirit of God has its greatest witness identified in 1 Corinthians 13 as ‘Love’, not just any love, but Charity, love between brethren. It is in this love that Jesus tells us the world would know of him, through the love that we have one toward another.
He Shall Glorify Me
There is a tendency of ministries to make the Holy Spirit the centre of attention but Jesus said that “he shall glorify me” in John 16:14.
Those who have the Spirit of God in them should have, as their most natural tendency, to do likewise. It would be a cause of great confusion for Christians to want to draw attention to themselves, when it is Jesus Christ whom the Spirit of God is given to glorify!
