To Give The Light Of The Knowledge Of The Glory Of God

To Give The Light of The Knowledge of  The Glory of God I think of the title of the sermon this morning which is found in verse 6, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. It’s a passage that gives purpose to our lives as Christians, but it also presumes a few things. That we have that light to give.  That all others are in darkness.  That darkness is the…

The Value Of The Work

How do we quanitfy the value of the work we are charged to do for the lost people of the world? It is near impossible to consider the concept of eternity.

The Greatest Witness of Hope

There can be no greater witness of hope than the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In this witness he demonstrated that he had had not only died for the sins of the world, but that he achieved the fulfilment of the law in paying the penalty of sin for all who believe. His resurrection witnessed the victory that all desired to know was accomplished.

Come Unto Me

The greatest joy of all is having the rest and comfort of Christ during times of fear and concern. “Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” says the Lord. Here we have a Place of Rest, an appointed people suited to the rest offered, and exchange of burden and a rest for the soul. What a blessing the Bible is, and what hope we have.

LOOK UP

Look Up for the answers, Look Up when troubles come, Look Up for your needs and Look Up to know your redemption draws near. Hope is garnered through the trials we endure, hope in the Lord NEVER leaves us ashamed.

For Such A Time As This

We are in a unique time in history with you as a unique person for history, with the most unique petition of history. The book of Esther provides for us the Biblical precedent for the time yet before us as Christians, and I pray this message encourages you to live for the Lord no matter the cost, that you too will say with Esther, “If I perish, I perish”.

How Much More Their Fullness

The fall of Israel made way for the salvation of the Gentiles, how much more blessing will come with their fullness? This is the argument given by Paul, Israel were always set by the Lord to be a blessing to all the families of the Earth

Proving The Will Of God

Proving the Will of God “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”  Romans 12:1-2 Introduction: [Pray] In chapter 12 of Romans we move from the expounding of the gospel…

Through Israel’s Fall Salvation Has Come To All

We have all knowns what it is like to miss out on something very important, but we have also known what it is like when an opportunity has opened up that we might be able to take advantage of. It might be a job opportunity that was made available through an individual stepping down, or a position on a team or a play etc, when someone else has, for one reason or another, decided to step aside and left an opportunity for another to step in. In just such a way does the passage before us speech respecting what has occurred with Israel and his fall respecting his rejection of the long-awaited messiah. Israel made a way for the gentile, “through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles”. (Rom 11:11)

Has God Cast Away His People?

Well, it’s one of the biggest questions in theology, Has God cast away his people Israel? It’s not questioned because there is any lack of clarity on the answer, the answer is presented with ALL clarity even in the very next two words in the text, “God forbid…”. It is a big question because the preference of many church denominations is that Israel had been done away with and the blessings conferred upon them by God in the Old Testament should now pass onto the Church, but this is not the biblical case. Satan, and all others who HATE Gods people Israel, desire them done away with, they hate whom God loves and have denied the very plain statement that “God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew” (Rom 11:2).
