Pt 21: Shun False Brethren
“…not to company…”, today few can identify what sin is let alone be willing to shun the man who claims to be a brother doing evil.
The Church is charged to “put away from among yourselves that wicked person”. Paul here testifying that the individual who ‘calls himself a brother’ (1 Cor 5:11), is false, indeed a “wicked person” (v13).
Our Church has seen much of this in the last two years, the Pastor has witnessed much more. Most tragic of all is that which comes from what was believed to be a faithful man, a man who betrays the Character of Christ, not in open sin, but in judgement, hypocrisy and wilful ignorance.
The Laodicean Church will continue to develop until the return of the Lord, for it will not call sin and sin, and it will not deal with sinners nor have any respect for those who do.
Those who justify evil condemn that which is good.
Shun false brethren, be not caught up in their sin (see Numbers 16)
Pt20: A Little Leaven
We live in a time when any mention of sin is turned away from in modern Churches. When this happens it is inevitable that it will inevitably permeate the entire Church, all it takes is a little leaven, a little sin and it acts like yeast in bread to corrupt the whole.
Tragically, when that which is evil (sinful) becomes tolerated in a place where the desire is toward all that is good (holy), it does not take long before it is justified, when sin is justified then all which might condemn it as evil becomes considered at evil.
Suddenly, Isiah 5:20 becomes the reality in the Church. Evil is seen as good, good is seen as evil.
If this becomes the common state of the Church (and it is), what then becomes of the world?
SARDIS and The Seven Churches
The same Church that unlocked the Bible for the world, becomes the Church that hides it in obscurity. The reformation Churches are those that the Church of Sardis Represents, it has a name that it lives but is DEAD. These are the DEAD Churches today who have nothing to say of the times we live and nothing to add to the discussion. They try in vain to stand up against perversion, but they have taken away the foundation from which to stand. They have intellectualised the simple Gospel of Christ and have made the word of God of “none effect”. Rather than simply “believe on the Lord Jesus and thou shalt be saved”, they created a flowery acronym to explain that which the Bible does not teach. While the Reformation Church “received and heard” that which was good, they have forgotten “how” they have “received and heard”. A few names stood well and continue to stand, most however have “defiled their garments”, and with the doctrines of Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, Sola Gracia, which they have forgotten, “are ready to die”. Thyatira, The Corrupt Church. WHAT IS YOUR PRICE? It is no surprise that both Geographically, Historically and Philosophically we move from the Compromising Church of PERGAMOS, to the Corrupt Church of Thyatira. How much of our faith in Christ needs to be COMPROMISED before it is corrupted?
What PRICE are we willing to accept to CORRUPT ourselves?
Is it even monetary?
Perhaps it is only to keep our jobs.
Perhaps it is only to be accepted by our peers.

Pt 4: The Apostate Church
The saddest of the Signs of the Times is the falling away of the Church, the Church in apostasy.
It all began with the simple denial that the Church has the very words of God, and has progressed to such a state of unbelief that feelings, emotions, seducing spirits and the denial of sound doctrine had become the norm.
No longer do we go to Church to seek after God, now people go to simply get a different version of secular motivational messages, and, if they are unlucky enough, they leave having been overcome by an entity they cannot understand.
So badly has the Church fallen away that many “pastors” are preparing their flocks to be swayed by the lying signs and wonders that will come.
Is this sign evident in this time? Is this the time for this sign?
