Hope Baptist Church began its first service on the 7th of August 2016 as a new church plant from Faith Baptist Church.
With both Faith and Hope there was certainly some expectation that Charity Baptist Church may have been forthcoming…there is still time.
The years have seen many come and many go and some stay. There have been times of great joy and times of great sadness, times of laughter and times of tears, but above all times of personal growth and learning, extensions of faith and trust in the Lord for the sake of the gospel.
We certainly miss many who have come and blessed our congregation over the years. While all individual churches may be a home for some, they are also a place where the Lord has directed many for a time as they move on toward new ministries and new directions, it is as if the church is planted onto the banks of a river where many flow through.
‘Goodbye‘ is the most difficult part of being a pastor, when those you have loved move on, a small part of the pastor’s heart leaves with them. Yet ‘hello and welcome’ remains the ever expectant joy for whom the Lord sees fit to lead to this Church.
Each year had seen more and more opportunities for ministry in diverse areas where nothing but faith and trust in the Lord would see blessing and opportunity for the gospel.
Sermons and shorts published on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Sermon Audio. A 12 page Newsletter with everything from a detailed sermon outline and scripture references to devotions and what is going on in the world relative to prophecy. Verse By Verse Bible Studies each Wednesday evenings, Prayer meetings, monthly Getting Deeper Studies with topical outlines of what the Bible teaches including aspects of understanding the times in which we live. The Apt To Teach series to prepare men to preach and teach.
Men’s breakfasts, Ladies Afternoon Studies, Baptisms, Christmas Lunches, Picnics, Ladies Retreats, Prophecy Conferences and what became the greatest leap of faith of all, our free-of-charge youth camps which developed into a full ongoing ministry simply titled Hope Camps.
We would love for any of you who have been blessed by some part of our small ministry to join us for a celebration of concluding our tenth year and entering our 11th year of ministry this coming Sunday at 10:30am.
Simply bring yourself, a bible, a friend and an appetite with the expectation to be filled with both spiritual and physical foods.
