Iron and Clay
You cannot make sense of the world today without the Bible! It is this long neglected book that can explain everything from the teen violence we are seeing in our streets to the financial markets of the world, from the cost of the products we purchase in the supermarket to the formation of a global government, from the difficulty surrounding personal relationships to the Israel-hatred we are seeing developing around the world….and so much more.
The phrase “Iron and Clay” is found in Daniel chapter 2, it speaks of a final world empire that is diverse from all that was before it. It is during this time that the book of Revelation teaches the AntiChrist will come out of a Global Government system with absolute control over every aspect of life. Iron and Clay speaks of division, one strong and the other broken. It will be a kingdom that will last but a few years before Jesus returns.
Prophecy makes up almost one third of the Bible, and much of it is laid before us. We are evidently living in a time that the Bible has more to speak of that anytime other than the time Jesus walked the shores of Galilee or climbed the mountains of Judea.
Times of tremendous confusion and great deception, times of incredible division in all aspects of the world, times when the Church has almost completely lost its way with bounding apostasy, times of uncertainty and great insecurity.
BUT, with an understanding of the times there is also a time of great hope, and the most incredible joy you will ever discover. A time of great opportunity to fulfil the purpose for which you have been created. A time of life-giving news, of forgiveness, of relief of trials and fears, of grace and life everlasting.
While before the world there is a great darkness, before those who have found the answers to the greatest question of life, there is the brightest of light. A light so bright that it attracts all who are drawn to ask us of the hope that is in us (1 Pet 3:15).
