Introduction
The incredible success of the previous three camps undertaken directly by Hope Baptist Church has led us to formally undertake a ‘free-of-charge youth camp open to the public, as an annual event, placed firmly in either the third or fourth week of January every year.
In 2024, the Moment In Time Summer Camp will be located in the original home of many Baptist Church camps, at Crystal Creek, Alexandra. The campground is called Alexander Adventure Resort and it is indeed a “resort”. It has everything we could wish for for the sake of all our activities including the long list found below, and all centrally located near the high country of Victoria.
The “Moment In Time” camp has, as its focus that which all our previous camps focussed upon, and that is for the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and our hope is for many who are yet to know the Lord, to be eternally blessed by him, and to see their lives wonderfully transformed at a Moment In Time.
The Format
Those who have enjoyed the camp structures at previous Baptist Church camps will be familiar with the format of this camp. Several speakers, including Pr Edi, will speak of the difference a single moment in time can make on any person in the world, added to this series of talks there will be many testimonies demonstrating how God had worked in many lives to bring both eternal hope, meaning, and joy and all coming about at A Moment In Time.
There will be a Chapel service both morning and evening of each of the days of camp. In between there will be a multitude of games and activities, together with free time and great food…great food…did I mention the food?
With help from those below, you KNOW the food must be good!
Games and Activities
We will have games in the day and also at night, some of the most exciting games we have ever played at camp…and a reformat of a relatively new night game called “Bible Smuggler” AND the new favourite of many, ….can’t remember what its called, but it’s GOOD! (pic somewhere below).

OK, so we won’t have time to use ALL the facilities, but we will certainly make time for the most exciting, and you get the point that there is heaps to do!
Cost
Our greatest burden is to make the camp free of charge to the youth. Times seem to be getting more difficult for many families and our greatest desire is to make the gospel as available as possible to all who will attend.
So, in short, THE CAMP IS FREE TO CAMPERS AND VOLUNTEERS
As per all previous camps, there is No V/cc*n/t*on status required to either campers or volunteers; standard parental wisdom should apply for any child who is unwell.
The Youth Camp is for Ages: 11 – 17yrs, registration details will come shortly.
PLACES ARE LIMITED TO NO MORE THAN 120 TEENS, we need to also allow for enough volunteers to help.
Donations
Though Hope Baptist Church has unanimously voted to pay for the cost of all camps, we are by no means a financially rich Church, the hearts of the people are far larger than the bank account, nevertheless, we have determined to underwrite the cost no matter how far it goes. But many people have asked if they can donate to have a share in the blessing this camp is promised to become, the short answer is Yes, absolutely.
The camps cost $250 per child (that is what it cost us), if your desire is to even sponsor one, five or ten children, please see the details below.
