What About The Gospel?
Mark 16:15–16
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
What About The Gospel? My sermon today is a topical one.
As we watch ourselves entering into the final aspect of the Last Days, political fervour is rising in our hearts and for good reason.
We are loosing our freedoms, we are losing are justice system, we are losing our wealth, we are losing our basic human rites, we are losing our privacy, our nations sovereignty and even our sanity.
So in every way it is understandable to see people rise up in the hope the basic freedoms, which we long took for granted, would be returned.
But we are NOT asking why this is all happening.
We want the blessings that came from God but do not want the God of the blessings.
We protest that the lamp wont light, but have left off the oil.
What about the Gospel?
While we seem all the more pleased to fight the temporal darkness, far too few are willing to simply light the lamp that dispels the darkness. It always did.
What about the Gospel?
For this temporal world even Christians are employing such words as “responsibility” and “Duty“, “Freedom” and include our “Children” and our “Grandchildren” in the mix of words to both motivate and inspire our participation in protest.
We are motivated to protest our government but not motivated to share the hope of Christ which blessed us with the freedoms we enjoyed.
We have become largely Christians who prioritise the temporal over the eternal, failing to see that the VERY forsaking of the eternal has cursed the temporal!
IT IS ALWAYS ABOUT THE GOSPEL. Never has this world been blessed without it.
It was THE GOSPEL that took this world OUT OF THE DARK AGES and into HIS MARVELLOUS LIGHT.
Now, somehow, we think that removing the light of the Gospel and the Word of God, we will not suffer darkness?
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
1 Thessalonians 5:5–6
Now many decry the natural loss of the light of the Lord. They want the blessing, but deny the one who blessed.
We may ask, What about the Gospel? The answer is too often little more than a shrug.
The children of light however they know the times, they know the season. They read the word and align the world. They know we are nearing that final kingdom and they see the preparations with all clarity.
Those reading their Bible see that time is short, but are naturally torn.
Even though they see a convergence of the Biblical signs showing there is no turning back, they still retain temporal hope for a temporal world…..but have forgotten why we are here.
What about the Gospel?
Today there is a reference to The Great Awakening around the world, and indeed there is.
Evil is no longer hiding in the dark and they see it now and call it out.
But they have awoken a minute to midnight.
WHAT ABOUT THE GOSPEL?
It is ONLY the Gospel that will save them.

The World Was Not Worthy
Hebrews 11:37–38
37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; 38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) …
Of whom the world was not worthy…
Throughout history the people of God were a separated people. SEPARATED FROM THE WORLD, and for this those of the world HATED THEM.
They understood that there was a far greater picture of life than merely the here and nowand were diligent in their pursuit of that which matters for all eternity.
Hebrews 11:24–26
24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
Moses SEPARATED himself from EGYPT and all its vanity, because he looked at the world as OPPORTUNITY for ETERNAL REWARD only. he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
The true riches he saw was in the truth of God and his words, not in the fools gold of the treasures of Egypt.
For thousands of years there have been a small body of people who did not fit any political spectrum; not the right nor the left, they were not monarchists, socialists, communists or anarchists.
It was not democracy, a technocracy, nor a theocracy they held to.
These were a people who believed it was their call and duty to tell the world of the news of eternal life given as a gift to all who believed. To shine the light of the world to dispel the darkness of the world.
They were not of the world, even as Jesus is not of the world (Jn 17:14-16)
But the “World was not worthy“.
They were hated by Roman Catholics and Protestants alike, they were not Puritans but nor where they Antinomians, they lived by the law of the Lord and were free men even as slaves, they were liberated, even while imprisoned.
8 …as deceivers, and yet true; 9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; 10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. 2 Corinthians 6:8–10
They went by many names and were somewhat diverse in minor ideas, yet they saw their work with a single eye and single mind. It was ALL ABOUT THE GOSPEL.
They were the Christians of the valleys of Piemonte (known among many as The Israel of the Alps), they were the Waldensies, the Albigensies, the Anabaptists, the Catharists, Paterines, Leonists, the Lollards, and the Moravians and there were many more.
Some were Protestants who came out of the Roman Catholic Church, but even these persecuted the true Christians who were never a part of the Papacy.
They were persecuted by Pagans, Catholics and Protestants alike. They held to The Book and were known as The People of the Book.
Entire villages were slaughtered;
The Luberon Massacre of 1545, via the Roman Catholic Inquisition of Jean de Roma, killed 2,000 people and sent 700 to the galleys.
The Calabrian Massacre of 1560, where the same inquisition sent a mission to this part of Italy, two pastors singled out, Jacques Bonello and Giovanni Pascale, one burned at the stake in Palermo and the other in Rome later that year. The entire country was ravaged by this violent opposition and the Christians were decimated.
St Bartholomew’s Day massacre is one of the most famous because it was instigated against a more protestant leaning people, the Huguenot’s of France. It came via the deceit and intrigue of the Roman Catholic Queen, Catherine de Medici and spread from August to September of the year 1572. Up to 70,000 Christians were killed.
These were those “of whom the world were not worthy“.
The world did all it could to extinguish the Light of the Gospel, because “men loved darkenss rather than light, and because their deeds were evil” (Jn 3:19).
The preaching of the Gospel ENDURED however, in spite of the confiscation of privileges, in spite of the confiscation of goods, of homes, of liberty and even of life.
Reading the Bible in your own language became a Capital offence and multitudes were killed for even having a few lines of scripture in their homes or even in their hearts.
Any confession of memorising the words of the Bible was the confession of a capital crime.
In the early 13th century one Pope is responsible for the death of more Christians than all the Roman Emperors combined.
It was known as the Albigensian Crusade, proclaimed by Pope Innocent III in 1208.
It targeted the Cathari Christians who were considered Heretics by the Roman Catholic Church because their LIGHT SHONE SO BRIGHTLY.
(There were MANY such Crusades, some to the Holy Land and some against Christians[1].)
“Historical estimates suggest that around one million Waldenses and Albigenses perished during this crusade” [2] under the authority of a single Pope, ironically named, Pope Innocent III.
During the 1,000 year dark ages, from the 6th century to the 16th century reformation era, multiple historians have come to around 50 million Christians killed during such Crusades and Inquisitions.[3]
38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) …
The Roman Catholic Inquisition was by far the worst and most unjust and horrific crime against humanity ever seen in the name of Christ, beginning in one form from the Dominican Order in 1220, it was finally ended in Spain in 1834, had its name changed from The Inquisition to “Holy Office” in 1908 and ended with the listing of forbidden books in 1966.[4]
THE INJUSTICE
Note how the injustice works and consider the days in which we live.
Being subject to the inquisition would only require SUSPICION OF HERESY.
Note the motivating effort:
Those who give the names of suspected heretics had the opportunity of receiving all property and goods, less a large portion to the Church, if the suspected heretic was guilty of heresy. (Denied any item listed above).
He would not have the benefit of having his accuser face to face, nor would he even know WHO his accuser was.
They had the right to enter property, remove property and person with no formal charges and hold the person indefinitely.
The Governing laws of Australian States during a State of Emergency is worth keeping an eye on.
But beloved, as a Christian with his home in heaven, how are you to act should such evil come your way?
In the very context of preaching the Gospel Jesus spoke to such evil;
Matthew 10:27–33
27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. 28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. 32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
The light of the Gospel shone more brightly through the blood of the martyrs, for it was ALL ABOUT THE GOSPEL….and nothing about this temporal life….and the world prospered.
Be Not Entangled
2 Timothy 2:1–5
1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. 5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
The dark ages lasted a thousand years and we are today the beneficiaries of it, but our willingness to entangle ourselves with the affairs of this life sets the gospel adrift.
No longer a concern shine the light, for we now choose to “enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season” and sadly fear “the reproach of Christ” with little respect for “the recompense of the reward“.
Paul understood this and so warned Timothy;
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
Christians have a calling
The world is currently suffering the natural consequence of turning away from God with the addition of a curse placed on all who curse Israel.
We have turned our backs on the word of God, turned our backs on the people of God, turned our backs on the Gospel of God.
We protest the removal of the freedoms FOUNDED ONLY upon the foundation of TRUTH we now deny!
Psalm 11:3
3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
Romans 1 testifies to the natural end of people who reject God in all ways.
Romans 1:18–21
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Why?
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
What is the result?
Romans 1:28–32
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
What is happening in the world today is NOT THE JUDGMENT OF GOD, it is the natural outcome of our rejection of him and of all that represents him.
From the Jews to the Gospel.
From the Word to the Laws that were once founded upon the Word.
We rejected LIGHT and protest being plunged into darkness rather than turning BACK to the Light!
What are you protesting?
You don’t like the loss of our freedoms and rights, but you have denied the one upon whom those freedoms and rights are founded!!
Its like taking out all the great ingredients of that which flavours your food and protesting that it should be just as palatable.
It DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY.
THE AWAKENING
The insipid flavour of life today has awoken peoples minds to the removal of all the ingredients that made life palatable.
But they have awoken a minute to midnight.
They believe they can rebuild the foundation they long ago removed, But this time WITHOUT THE CORNERSTONE.
They are a very mixed group of people. They all desire the same thing, but argue of how to attain it.
SAND is their new foundation, and they cannot see what will come when the rain descends and the floods come (Mat 7:26-27)
The Christians OUGHT to unite around the Gospel once abandoned, but sadly the love of many has waxed cold (Mt 24:12)
But this is what we have been educated for!
It is fascinating to me that todays protest against the government will likely include a multitude of people, who tomorrow will send their children back to the school system their leaders were indoctrinated in.
The irony is lost on them.
Isaiah 44:20
20 He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?
Just one example alone should suffice.
Our Education system was a Purpose Driven Effort FROM ITS VERY BEGINNING.
In Europe, as early as the mid 1500’s, we find this quote from none other than Martin Luther, the founder of the Protestant Reformation;
“I am afraid that the schools will prove the very gates of hell, unless they diligently labor in explaining the Holy Scriptures and engraving them in the heart of the youth.”
In the 1870’s, Dr Archibald Alexander Hodge, the Principle of Princeton Seminary wrote this respecting the centralised system of education of today, when it was proposed 150 years ago in the United States;
“I am as sure as I am of the fact of Christ’s reign that a comprehensive and centralized system of national education, separated from religion, as is now commonly proposed, will prove the most appalling enginery for the propagation of antiChristian and atheistic unbelief and of antisocial nihilistic ethics, social and political, which this sinrent world has ever seen.”
John Dewey is the FATHER of the modern education system where all the evil of today is taught. This is what he wrote in 1897 in his book, My Pedagogic Creed;
“Education is the fundamental method of social progress and reform”
“Education is a regulation of the process of coming to share in the social consciousness: and the adjustment of individual activity on the basis of this social consciousness is the only sure method of social re construction”
“Every teacher should realise the dignity of his calling: that he is the social servant set apart for the maintenance of proper social order and the securing of the right social growth. In this way the teacher always is the prophet of the true God and the usherer in of the true kingdom of God”
Charles Francis Potter, signatory to the humanist Manifesto to which John Dewey was the Co-author, wrote this respecting our education system in 1930.
“What can the theistic Sunday- schools, meeting for an hour once a week, and teaching only a fraction of the children, do to stem the tide of a five-day program of humanistic teaching?”
Our protestors, lamenting the loss of the BENEFITS OF LIGHT today, will send their Children back to learn how to create MORE DARKNESS tomorrow.
Far too many Christians prefer to entangle themselves with the affairs of this life rather than preach the Gospel that brings life!
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. John 5:39–40
Christians have a calling, this world needs you now more than ever. Its time to make ourselves useful. The world does not know what it needs, but you do!
2 Timothy 2:4
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
Take your post beloved!
Not Against Flesh And Blood
Ephesians 6:12
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
This is NOT a physical war beloved, it NEVER HAS BEEN.
We are seeing the Satanic effort so clearly converging on the final system of a one world government with antichrist as its head, and it will continue to take its shape.
What we are seeing today with the rise of people around the world against it, is also part of biblical prophecy.
Turn to;
Luke 21:25–26
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
the sea and the waves roaring refers to the people of the world. You can cross reference this with passages such as Isa 5:30, Jer 50:42. That there comes with it also distress of nations, with perplexity; is self evident.
The protests around the world is and was the natural expectation toward what they referred to as The New World Order.
The head of the WEF, Claus Schwabb, said so himself, that there will be more “anger in the world” do you remember that?
The Bible is explicitly clear of the world government to come. We see it in Daniel 2, 7, 8 & 9, we see it spoken of more clearly in Revelation 11,12 & 13.
Historical references to it goes back as far as the 18th century with the creation of the Bavarian Illuminati in 1776[5], to the 20th century and the establishment of The Bilderberg Group in 1954[6].
In 1932 an explosion of books pressing to a New Word order hit the markets;
Toward Soviet America by William Z. Foster.
The New World Order by F.S. Marvin, describing the League of Nations as the first attempt at a New World Order.
Dare the School Build a New Social Order? is published. Educator author George Counts asserts that:
“… the teachers should deliberately reach for power and then make the most of their conquest” in order to “influence the social attitudes, ideals and behavior of the coming generation…
1933 — The Shape of Things to Come by H.G. Wells is published. In this 1933 book Wells predicts a second world war around 1940, originating from a German-Polish dispute. In it he advocated for a One World Government.
BUT REMEMBER; 12 … we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
BEHIND this political effort was the spiritual: A book Published by Lucis Trust, (originally a New York Publishing Company called Lucifer Publishing Company[7]) created by occultist Alice Bailey, who was herself a disciple of the satanist Madame Helena Blavatsky.[8]
In 1934 she wrote a book titled The Externalization of the Hierarchy
Her inspiration for the book, SHE SAYS, was given to her by a demonic spiritual entity known as Djwahl Kuhl, whom she referred to as “the Tibetan Master”.
In the book she claimed specifically of a new work beginning in that year, 1934, and she writes;
“New Group of World Servers” in 1934 marks the beginning of “the organizing of the men and women… group work of a new order… [with] progress defined by service… the world of the Brotherhood… the Forces of Light… [and] out of the spoliation of all existing culture and civilization, the new world order must be built.”
Did you hear that last line?
out of the spoliation of all existing culture and civilization, the new world order must be built.”
Read that as The Great Reset! The Great Reset was first a Russian Communist propaganda phrase that actually meant the destruction of the present order and the creation of a New Order.
Prophecy:
Daniel 2:40
40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
The same is expanded on in Daniel 7:23-24;
Daniel writes of AntiChrist that “he shall destroy wonderfully” in Daniel 8:24.
The culmination of this work is in the Tribulation, the preparation is now.
Just as an interesting side-note, Lucis Trust, to this day, has been enveloped by the United Nations in a “Consultative Status” as an NGO.[9]
Many of you will also know that the United Nations came out of the failure of the League of Nations after world war two, with the single and explicit goal of World Government.
Just another interesting point, the then Assistant Secretary General of the U.N. Robert Mueller would credit the creation of his World Core Curriculum for education to the underlying teachings of Djwahl Kuhl via Alice Bailey’s writings on the subject.
The protestors today (Sunday) will send their children back to this “Education” tomorrow (Monday).
Having awoken but a minute to midnight, leaves them unaware how long the effort they now protest, has been building.

Always About The Gospel
What about the Gospel?
Let me close with a similitude beloved which I hope and pray may put our role in its proper perspective, that you might KNOW how you ought to live in these last days, FOR YOU ARE HERE FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!
She had never heard anything so incredible in all her life.
While she thought the trumpet was loud, this angelic sound was absolutely astonishing to behold, it was the voices of a billion angels raising up their song to the Lord of Lords and the King of kings. And with them were the voices of “ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands” (Rev 5:11) who stood praising God and Jesus Christ his Son, and “Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing” (Rev 5:12).
Never had she even imagined anything so glorious.
Her name was Charity while she was in the world, she will be given a new name now but has yet to find out what that name will be. She recalls reading her bible and people were given names based on their way of living and she wondered how her life might be assessed and known to all by her new name, a name that will remain for ever.
Suddenly she heard a song, It was a new song that was sung and all who were there, all the multitudes of angels and the people sang with one accord as if they had rehearsed the song a thousand times together.
It was the most glorious sound that she had ever heard, and it was the loudest sound she had ever experienced, but it did not hurt the ears. While the sound was loud it did not seem to even disturb hearing anything else.
The voices lifted in song, though separated from the voices of fellowship, neither interrupted nor interfered one with another, her own senses could incredibly discern everything around her. It was like nothing she ever experienced before.
This was heaven, Charity knew it.
As she looked about her, she was astounded that she seemed to be fully aware of all the people she knew, it was not as if she needed to meet them, she knew who was there and who wasn’t.
And while there were many she expected to be there, she was surprised by some. Never in her widest dreams did she think they too believed the Gospel. But as she pondered this she also realised that there were many she expected to be there, but were not.
Down cast, she also came to the frightening realisation that multitudes were not there that could have been.
Somehow she could see into hell. It was not a railing, nor an edge, nor was she standing on glass alone but on pure gold, as it were transparent glass (Rev 21:21), and beyond it she could see with perfect clarity as if it were by her very side, an abyss.
The abyss was dark, too dark for light to penetrate, a thick darkness, even darkness which may be felt (Exo 10:21), nevertheless somehow she could see.
There were people down there.
Many people. Nameless now but many she knew, not by sight but by sense and she burst into tears.
Her sister was there. So too was her father. Uncles and aunties, friends from school and friends from work, teachers and shop keepers, bank tellers and people from all walks of life that she passed by in her daily life, she remembers them now and can recall every opportunity she had to share with them the hope and love in Jesus Christ.
It was not as if she deliberately refused to say anything, it was just that the thought came to her mind while she was busy here and there and they were gone (1 Kings 20:40).
“Busy”… the word kept plaguing here as she witnessed “the smoke of their torment ascending up for ever and ever….they had no rest day nor night” (Rev 14:11), she does not know how she is so acutely aware of time even though time does not exit where she is.
Yet she remembers well how she largely spent her time in the world and why she was so “Busy”.
If only she could have that time back again, if only she would have spent her time telling them about Christ. If only IT WAS ALL ABOUT THE GOSPEL.
At the time she thought that what she was doing was worthwhile, even a good work. She fought for so many noble causes, causes that would better the lives of so many people, she did all that she could to make the world a better place…..
“Make the world a better place”, suddenly the realisation struck her, most of that which she accomplished in her life, was to make this world a better place to go to hell from.
Her next thought was wondering what her new name would be?
